HOT Spotlight on a Cancer Champion

Meet Hina, one of our Community Cancer Champions.

We’re proud to highlight one of our incredible champions — Hina, a physiotherapist at Physiotherapy & Rehab Works who is passionate about supporting people affected by cancer in her local community.

Based at a clinic in Calderdale, she is committed to making support simpler to access and more visible for her patients. Alongside helping individuals manage the physical and emotional challenges of cancer, she also connects people with local services that can support them beyond treatment.

With specialist training in cancer rehabilitation through the PINC programme, she brings valuable knowledge to her role, helping patients regain confidence, improve wellbeing and feel supported throughout their journey.

Her approach is centred on understanding each person’s unique experience and ensuring they feel informed, supported and empowered every step of the way.

She says:
“I’m a physiotherapist and always mindful of each patient’s physical and emotional challenges. I’m passionate about providing support that’s tailored to them. It was great to learn about the services available for people with cancer, and I’m looking forward to sharing these with my patients.”

We’re grateful to have champions like her helping to strengthen connections within the community and improve access to support for those who need it most.
